IGiveCatholic - Giving Tuesday

You may have noticed our new banners on our social media pages and new post something called  #iGiveCatholic. What is this all about?

#iGiveCatholic is the first Catholic day of giving in the country. The Archdiocese and Catholic Foundation's goals are to raise half a million dollars for parishes, schools, and other Catholic non-profits in the Archdiocese. We at Christ the Healer Medical Mission are so excited to be a part of this new annual tradition!
#iGiveCatholic will take place on Giving Tuesday, which is November 29th. This month, we will celebrate Thanksgiving and Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to express our gratitude through generosity. What a beautiful way to thank God for his continued blessing than to give back to our community!
So what exactly happens on November 29th? Starting at midnight on Giving Tuesday, you can visit the #iGiveCatholic website to make a minimum donation.

Why are we participating?  Our Medical Mission program is need of on-going funding.  Our mission in Granada supports two clinics, Women's and Dental, Monday through Friday of every week. While things are less expensive in Nicaragua it still cost approximately $100,000 to run the clinics—salaries for local doctors, budgets for the trips and maintenance on our clinics and beyond on a yearly basis.  Our hope is to hire an Internal Medicine physician and eye care professional so that everyday health care can be provided for all.  In order for the mission to continue to grow we need your help.

♦  $25 provides a doctor visit, lab work, health care education and vitamins for the family

♦  $50 provides all of the above mentions plus prescriptions

♦  $100 provides electricity for the clinics monthly

♦  $250 provides ancillary help to maintain medical records, and the nursing staff

♦  $500 provides a salary for one dentist or physician

♦  $1,000 monthly sponsors two physicians salaries for their work at the clinics

We thank you for your support.
