 Happy Anniversary MCA!

175th Anniversary of the Missionary Childhood Association

This year marks the 175th Anniversary of The Missionary Childhood Association (MCA). Founded in France in 1843 by Bishop Charles de Forbin Jansen MCA encourages young people to be aware of the needs of children living in mission diocese through the world and support them both spiritually and sacrificially. Today, MCA is active in 150 countries worldwide including the United States and helps make Jesus known to children all over the world. Monies raised by young Catholics — along with contributions from adults — are directed towards building schools, establishing health and nutrition programs, teaching and providing religious education.  To date, MCA has provided support for about 3,000 projects worldwide affecting the lives of some 20 million children.
